Great news everyone. One of our partners is having some big celebrations. Especially this news that came from nowhere made their day grateful. After a long time of working, from the ground up, they came somewhere that they wanted to be. Ubisoft.

Ubisoft has acquired over a total of 75% of Berlin-based developer, Kolibri Games ( formerly fluffy fairy games ). The studio, known for its experience in the mobile free-to-play space, is one of the leaders of the “idle” games genre and publishes Idle Miner Tycoon, which has been downloaded by more than 104 million players. With over 100+ workers in the community, they created some nifty gameplay during their development.

The acquisition of Kolibri was completed on January 31 and gives Ubisoft the option of gradually raising its stake in Kolibri Games to 100% over the next four years. This means we are getting a lot of more levels with this great news. Let’s hope what we will get the first next upcoming DLC. Do we have to pay for it? We dont know. Ubisoft is known of its micropayment systems as well for DLC no one is waiting for. Some games they have made a hit on the web while others died slowly. How will it end with Kolibri games?
